Q-SATA Connectivity Solution: Q-SATA, or Quad-SATA is a connectivity Solution that utilizes SFF-8088 connectors to deliver true SATA 6Gb/s RAID Storage performance at an affordable price point. “Q” refers to the performance capability of the connection, which quadruples the SATA transfer bandwidth up to 2x 2,400MB/s, and fully optimizes RAID performance for up to 8 SATA 6Gb/s SSD or hard drives. The RocketStor 6418TS features an “open-box” approach to storage, which grants customers the freedom to use their choice of SAS or SATA drive from all major drive brands including HGST, Seagate, Toshiba and WDC. Customers can add drives as needed to meet the evolving performance or capacity requirements of the storage application. The eight removable hot-swap bays support any 2.5” or 3.5” SATA Hard Drive or SSD, and up to 96TB of total storage capacity. Enterprise /NAS class drives are recommended for the RocketStor 6418TS; customers can tailor storage configurations to meet each application’s performance and budget requirements.
